Hamilton
I am pretty sure I have found New Zealands most boring city. There is absolutely nothing to do in Hamilton and because of that there are very few backpackers here as well. Nothing to do and no one to talk to equals long boring days. Well, I have actually tried to make this day a bit more fun by listening to good music all day, I also made a really good brunch (woke up a bit late). And maybe it is good for me to stay here for a few days doing nothing.
This evening will be the best though, because I will talk to my best friend for the first time in over a month! I have missed her so much! It will be nice to here her voice again.
I leave Hamilton for Raglan on sunday, I will work for accommodation in a hostel there for three weeks and I am really excited. Hopefully I get the chance to learn how to surf as well, or at least learn how should do even if I will not be able to do it myself.
I have heard that the hostel is supposed to be really cozy and nice and since I will be there for three weeks I hope that I will meet some new good friends, maybe even someone to travel with for a while. There are a lot of other people working there so I do not think I will be alone. The thing that is hard though is the fact that there is absolutely no phone connection and the wifi is expensive so hopefully I get the wifi for free since I work, otherwise I will probably not be able to have wifi all the time when I am there. It will probably be harder for my mother than for me though.
It is almost time to go and make something to eat now. Couscous salad is on the menu, for the 8th day since I came here. It is simple, cheep and really tasty. Do not judge, I blame it on the backpacker culture!
