Arriving in Reykjavik

a few months ago I told my best friend, Olivia, that I really wanted to go on a two weeks travel somewhere this fall. It felt so long until my next travels and I just couldn't wait that long. surprisingly she told me she wanted to come as well. Ofcourse that made me super happy, but there was one problem... Figuring out where to go. I love summer, the sun, adventures, new exciting cultures. Olivia is definitely not a summer person and she is probably not as much of an adventurer as I am. We were talking about Borneo and Burma but I didn't think Olivia would like it, they're both pretty far away as well. But after a while I remembered all of the good things I've heard about Iceland. I asked Olivia if she would like to go there and she was thrilled. It seemed like the perfect compromise.

We we booked the flight tickets and started to collect information. And now we're here!

Yesterday we took the train 07.10 from Växjö to CHP airport And from there we flew to Keflavik, Iceland, took the bus from Keflavik to Reykjavik and the Capital Inn, our hostel. its actually really nice but the weather didn't welcome us well. It was so cloudy, windy and extremly rainy!! It seems to be a little bit better today though.

The he hostel is quite a walk from the city center, so today's task is to walk there and look around, maybe check with a few different car rental companies what it would cost to rent a car and probably go to the penis museum because I mean, hace you ever heard of a penis museum? This is probably one of few in the world and it sounds crazy so we have to go!
